Our hand made run attachments fit to the front of tour hen houses, and include a walk in access gate, easy lift removable roof panels, under house panels and an outdoor perch. The runs are supplied in 1.2m long sections and come in two standard widths.

Any number of additional sections can be bought to increase the size of your run.

Each run has been carefully designed to be user friendly. All our run attachments feature a walk in access gate, small lift off roof panels, an external perch and the under house run panels. This creates a complete and secure enclosure.

Hotline is a Devon company manufacturing super high quality electric fencing here in the UK. Their complete electric poultry run kits are fantastic (we have a 25m kit in action here at Devon Hen Houses HQ), and its great to now be able to offer Hotline products here at Devon Hen Houses.

Electrified fencing has many advantages for you as a keeper of chickens or other poultry. They are the most effective way to keep your hens in and predators out, and being easy to install and move, rotating the location of your hens is no longer a problem.

If you have the space for a large run, we would defiantly recommend one of our Electric Poultry Fence Kits as our preferred method of fencing in your hens.

Powering your Electric Fence

You can either run your electric poultry fence from a 240v mains socket or a suitable battery. The energiser supplied with our kits works with either option.

To use 240V mains all you require is a Lead Out Cable, which we can supply. See below.

Where mains is not available your fence can be powered by a battery. We will be adding a range of batteries and chargers suitable for our Poultry Kits soon. Please contact us in the mean time, as we can still add appropriate batteries to any order.

Installing and maintaining an electric poultry net.

Full instructions with clear pictures are included with your electric poultry fence kits.
It’s important to keep your electric fence free from any contact with grass and weeds. This ‘drains’ some of the voltage running around the fence, thus reducing its effectiveness. To keep your electric fence ‘short-free’ we include a length of insulating plastic to match your poultry kit, which you just roll out under the fence as you are erecting it. In our experience this is the most effective way to keep grass and weeds from making contact with the fence, and is include free when you buy your electric poultry kits from us.
