Here at Devon Hen Houses we design, make and deliver high specification chicken and hen houses, all hand made to order in South Devon.

The elevated nature of our houses makes them fox, badger and other predator proof, as well as increasing the area for your hens to run out in. The raised nature of our houses also provides them with shelter throughout the year, making for a really functional design feature! We pride ourselves on making well designed, high quality, functional and durable products, using only the highest quality materials and fixings.

All external timbers used on the hen houses are Douglas Fir Timber which is sawn to length and then tanalised for us by Rattery Sawmills, Devon. This timber is home grown from a sustainable yield, and as the timber is pressure treated after it has been sawn to lenght, you will never have any issues with rott. This, alongside being a construction grade timber meens that our products are extreamy robust, durable and weather proof. The roofing materials used on these houses is Onduline, again construction grade. This means that your hen house will be maintance free, apart from regular cleaning! No more messing with ripped bitumin felt!

If you live within 50 miles of us here in Holbeton, then we will deliver your house to you free of charge. The Country Cottage and Town House come assembled and ready to go. The Palace, Mansion and Lodge, being larger, require assembly onsite, which we will do for you. This is also included in the price. Deliveries further afield are easily arranged, please contact us so we can discuss the various options. We are currently working on designs for a new house suitable for 'flat pack' and therefore palletted delivery within Europe. Please email or ring for further details.
